Students are encouraged to keep up with their grades on the school website (to be determined upon hire). Grades will be returned and updated weekly. Grading will be sequenced in a ten point system:
90-100= A
80-89= B
70-79= C
60-69= D
0-59= F
Scale
Each part of my class will be graded in a percentage format.
Tests= 50%
Projects= 30%
Homework/Class work= 10%
Participation= 10%

Late Work
Late work will only be accepted two days after the due date. Work turned in one day after it is due will receive a one letter grade deduction (A now turns into a B). Work turned in two days after due date will receive a two letter grade deduction (A now turns into a C). Assignments turned in later than two days will not be graded and received as a zero.
Make-up Work
Students with excused absences will be allowed to complete their missed work. These absences must be excused by the office. Students will have up to one week to complete the work missed. Students should see me to receive missed assignments.
Bonus Points
Bonus points will be given on rare occasions throughout the year. Most of these will be given for outstanding group work and excellence to be used on the following test. More information on bonus points will be given as the year progresses.
Accommodation
I reserve the right to adjust grading when individual students show extreme effort and dedication on specific assignments.
